Homestead Village was built to emphasize freedom, affordability, and a strong sense of community, bringing neighbors together while supporting an active, engaging lifestyle.

  • We’re more than a place to live – we’re a place to truly enjoy each day. With an active, social lifestyle, thoughtful amenities like a library, hair salon, fitness center, game room, and dog wash, plus a warm, close-knit community in a premier location, residents can feel right at home from the moment they arrive.

    Homestead Village is where you can live active, stay social, enjoy a community where neighbors become friends, and do it all at a price you can afford!

  • We do not offer any assisted living services, as we are an independent active adult community designed for residents who are able to live independently. This means we do not provide assistance with meals, medications, transportation, personal care, etc.

  • We are an income-based community, and the household monthly income must be at least two times the monthly rent. Guarantors are accepted. Please reach out to our leasing team if you have qualification questions.

    • Electric: Resident pays directly to AEP

    • Water: $33/month for a single occupant – $54/month for a double occupant. Paid to leasing office with rent

    • Cable/Internet: Resident gets own service through Spectrum

  • Yes, we are a pet-friendly community! Our pet policy allows up to 2 pets per unit and a 35lb max weight limit. Pet fees and pet rent apply per pet.

    Breed Restrictions apply and include German Shepherd, Mastiff, Rottweiler, Pit Bull, Staffordshire terrier, Cane Corso, Presa Canario, Wolf-Hybrids, Chows, Doberman, and mixes of the above breeds of dogs are prohibited.

  • We offer free surface parking at all of our Homestead Village communities for residents and guests to use.

    Homestead Village Fort Wayne offers garage parking for $85/month.

  • Downsizing can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. Our professional leasing consultants can connect you with trusted resources for furniture downsizing, moving services, and financial planning to help make your transition as smooth as possible.

  • We offer both escorted tours and live virtual tours by appointment, making it easy for you – or your family members out of town – to explore the community from wherever you are!

  • Everyone residing at Homestead Village must be at least 55 years of age or older.
